Since first becoming an official partner during the 2017/18 Elite Ice Hockey League season, we've proudly supported the club through player sponsorships, coaching partnerships, marketing collaborations and some memorable moments both on and off the ice.

As we enter our tenth consecutive season as an official Manchester Storm partner, we're delighted to continue building on a relationship that has gone from strength to strength. From celebrating player achievements and supporting long-standing clients to creating engaging marketing campaigns and strengthening business relationships, our partnership reflects everything that LWA believes community sponsorship should be.

A partnership built to last

LWA Accountants and Business Advisors has proudly supported Manchester Storm since the 2017/18 season. What began with the sponsorship of an individual player has grown into one of our longest-running community partnerships.

Across ten seasons, we have backed players and coaches, supported the club through challenging periods and worked alongside the Storm team on photography, video, social media, hospitality and community activity. For 2026/27, we are delighted to continue that relationship as Manchester Storm begins an exciting new chapter at the AO Arena.

The partnership matters to us because it is about more than visibility. It gives us opportunities to champion local sport, reward our team, welcome clients to games and build relationships across Greater Manchester.

Ten seasons of partnership

Some of the moments that have shaped LWA's relationship with Manchester Storm include:

2017/18	LWA became an official partner and sponsored forward Chris Auger.
2020/21	The partnership continued through the pandemic, with LWA supporting Ciaran Long in the Elite Series.
2021/22	LWA's rinkside branding reached a national audience during Bez's training for ITV's Dancing on Ice.
2023/24	The relationship expanded across jerseys, rinkside and big-screen advertising, digital content and hospitality.
2025/26	LWA sponsored Joe Nardi, supported long-standing client Mike Morin during his spell as interim Head Coach and celebrated Storm's 30th-anniversary season.
2026/27	The partnership enters its tenth season as Manchester Storm returns to the AO Arena.

Supporting Storm - and one of our own clients

One of the most personal parts of the partnership has been the opportunity to support long-standing LWA client Mike Morin and his landscape gardening business, Mo For Less.

Mike has contributed to Manchester Storm as a player and coach, most recently serving as assistant Coach. Watching his role evolve has mirrored our own long-term relationship with the club and shows what community partnership can achieve: local businesses and professional sport working together to support people, organisations and the wider community.

Looking ahead at the AO Arena

Manchester Storm's return to the AO Arena for 2026/27 marks an exciting new chapter for the club, its supporters and ice hockey in the city. We are proud to continue our support as the team returns to the venue where the original Storm story began.

We look forward to creating more memorable moments together while continuing to invest in local relationships and the wider Greater Manchester community.
